It was important for us to marry two elements:
an international client & a city like Delhi with a rich heritage of architecture.
We decided to employ the very prominent Mughal motif of “jaaliwork” or latticework in the store, which was crafted by Adidas shoelaces.
The merge was absolutely stunning, as it evoked the quintessential design for Delhi using something as essential as shoelaces. The store was a love letter to India’s capital.
Sustainability was also a key factor in the design process of the store, and public elements for recycling were prominently displayed for the customers to also use and be part of the environmental friendly mission of the brand!
